Microsoft Outlook Express Setup

- Open Outlook Express.

- On the menu, choose "Tools", then "Accounts".

The following window will pop up.



- Click on the "Mail" tab located near the top of this window.

- Click the "Add" button located in the upper right hand corner of this window.

- Click "Mail" on the menu that pops up.

The following window will pop up.



- Fill in the box labeled "Display Name" with your name (ie. John Doe). This is the name that people will see when they receive an email from you.

- Click "Next".



- Type in your email address.

- Click "Next".



- Type "mail.yourdomain.com" (replacing "yourdomain.com" with your domain name) for the incoming and outgoing mail servers. For example, "mail.microsoft.com" or "mail.f3csi.com".

- Make sure that "POP3" is selected in the area at the top labeled "My incoming mail server is a ".

- Click "Next".



- Type in your Account Name (your account name is your email address, i.e. jdoe@yourdomain.com).

- Enter the password and check the Remember Password box. If you need additional security, you can leave this box unchecked, but Outlook Express will ask for your password each time you check your mail.

- Click "Next".



- Click Finish.



- Double Click on the mail account you just created.



- Click on the "Servers" Tab.

- Verify the information that was entered in previous steps.(You can reenter your password if you are unsure.)

- Make sure that the "My server requires authentication box" is checked.

- Click OK.

- Click Close.

- Your email is now set up.
